Alcantara Gorge

Alcantara Gorge is over 50 m deep and its canyon is filled with lava. The river offers tourists many beautiful sights like water falls, vertical basalt cliffs of whimsical forms and numerous shallows. Over 50 meters above on the narrow tongue of water can be seen the stone cliffs, which forms hexagonal and pentagonal prisms.

Tourists can hike through the gorge, this a great opportunity to admire overall view on the initial part of the gorge. For those who wish to walk through some parts of the gorge, they can rent waders.

I loved the free film night on the roof top terrace in view of Mount Etna! The terrace is an unexpected and gorgeous bonus. - Not only is this a great hostel, but the multilingual staff obviously is there because they love people, and Sicily. The hostel is strategically placed, minutes from a perfect beach. I could not imagine a better place to stay.

замечательный хостел-отель в Джардини Наксос! Нам там очень понравилось! Самое лучшее в Джанни-хаусе это теплая, дружелюбная атмосфера, которая создается людьми, работающими там. Все очень приветливые и заботливыеl!!!! А сам хозяин отеля Джанни - просто потрясающий человек - добрый, веселый, энергичный и очень внимательный. Он всегда заботится о своих гостях и время от времени организует разные вечеринки для всех своих постояльцев. Мы получили огромное удовольствие от pasta-party - спагетти, приготовленные Джанни и его другом Эмилио были поистине великолепными и мы чудесно провели время общаясь с замечательными людьми!!!! В Gianni-house чудесная открытая терасса на крыше где можно наслаждаться удивительным видом на море, Этну и Таормину во время завтрака или обеда. Море, магазины и автобусная остановка расположены очень близко. Мы жили в отдельной комнате, чистой и уютной (она была тщательно оформлена самим хозяином:) с просторным балконом с видом на море. Мы довольны каждым днем нашего пребывания в Джанни-хаус и обязательно снова туда вернемся! Мы уже скучаем по Джанни и всем замечательным людям, с которыми мы там встретились! Любим вас! До скорого!

Hallo an alle,die durch Sizilien reisen!! Wir, Familie mit 2 Mädels (14 und 16) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und empfehlen den Aufenthalt bei euch weiter. Super fanden wir das gemischte Publikum (Australien, Taiwan, USA, Canada...), die Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Haus nach Taormina, zu Fuß ist man schnell am S...trand und in Giardinni Naxos. Disko am WE mit super Musik. Gerne wieder.

Gianni House is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in!The rooms are EXTREMELY CLEAN- It feels like I am in a hotel, but at the cost of a hostel. Also, Gianni is very hospitable and the staff are REALLY fun to hang with. When I arrived, they had a "pasta party" for dinner and I tried some delicious Sicilian food and Sicilian wine. I was pretty amazed by the place actually. It is also in a great location to see all. The hostel is in a safe area.

Mieszkałam z koleżanką w pokoju dwuosobowym z łazienką. Cena okazyjna w porównaniu z wieloma innymi dostępnymi rodzajami zakwaterowania, a standard w zupelności wystarczający. Czysto, jak świeżo po remoncie, niezbędne meble, rolety, duży wiatrak, jasne przyjemne kolory, duża, wygodna łazienka, blisko do jedynej piaszczystej plazy w okolicy. Polecam młodym ludziom którzy szukają dyskretnej lokalizacji bez pani w recepcji ktora patrzy niechętnie na gości wracających o 6 z imprezy. Sama miejscowość nie jest imprezowa, tylko wypoczynkowa, ale z Taorminy można wrócic z imprezy taksówką za 20-25 euro za 2 osoby, a autobus jezdzi do okolo północy.

Dear Gianni and Rich, thank you for your hospitality! I enjoyed 5-days in Taormina-Gard. Naxos; and make-shift celebration of my birthday in Gianni House was one of the best events! Everything was tasty and funny, a lot of nice photo and even video.. Gianni House is really the best hostel from 5 where I stayed: very clean and hospitable, with breakfasts are cooked by nice guy with sunny smile, kind words and attention; terrace with Etna and sea views. I felt myself like visiting good friends!

Really nice hostel. Gianni, Darren and Rich very really nice with me. The hostel is very clean, confortable and close to taormina. the bus stop is in front of the hostel. I would definitely reccommend this place.

My three friends and I were treated like royalty at Gianni House. The staff could not be nicer and nothing was too much trouble. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking Mt. Etna and the beach was the perfect start to the day and the Pasta Party was great fun. Rooms and location could not be better, I know I will be a regular visitor to Gianni House.

It's one of the best hostels i've stayed in if not THE BEST! Gianni and Richie were more than helpfull with info of the surroundings. The pasta party was great. Gave us the chance to meet a lot of great/interesting people. The pasta itself was great and the wine also. The rooms were very clean and nice and the baths also. That\'s what hostel is all about.
