Gianni House was built by Gianni himself and his family in a perfect location on the east coast of Sicily. You can see this best on the roof terrace. In front of you is the sea, just a five minute walk away. Look to the left and you'll see the southern tip of mainland Italy on the horizon over the pleasant town of Giardini-Naxos. Further left and the beautiful town of Taormina sparkles on the hill. Turn again and your back is to the sea and the Alcantara Gorge is dotted with villages and castles. Look south along the coast and you'll see Catania stretched along the seaside. Most imposing of all, however, is Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. Just 30 kilometers southwest of Gianni House, the smoking crater dominates the local scenery and all of Sicily as well.
In 2008 Gianni opened his hostel here so this paradise could be enjoyed by more travelers.
