Savoca & Forza DAgrò
These two cities are famous for the many movies that have been filmed here, most notably, The Godfather I, II & III. Aside from being the site of many films, these two locations are amazingly beautiful and interesting cities that all visitors to Sicily should experience! Best of all, they are very close to Gianni House & accessible by bus.
Savoca
• Visit the church from the famous Godfather Wedding Scene
• Have a drink or some granita at Bar Vitelli, as seen on The Godfather II
• Visit the Catacomb – Slip down a rickety trap door, down some stairs into a crypt filled with Preserved Bodies (NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH)
• Experience the feeling of a REAL PRIVATE Sicilian town.
Forza D'Agrò
• Visit the impressive church, Madre di Forza D'Agro which is featured in Godfather III.
• View the beautiful artwork and architecture around the city.
• Visit the central fountain in the main piazza which was used in the original Godfather Film.
• Go off into the neighborhoods and just experience how different this town truly is! You will be amazed!
